Russian President Vladimir Putin's way to power for the next 15 years is clear. On Monday (April 5), he signed a bill giving him the right to stay in power till 2036. According to the Moscow Times, this is Putin's second consecutive term as president and his fourth overall. According to the constitution, he was to step down in 2024, but now with the amendment, he can remain in office for the next 15 years. Putin called for ballots from citizens last year. In it, the people had voted to allow him to stay in power for another two terms of 6 years. This was strongly opposed by Russia. Yet they claimed a big victory.   Sources said that 20 jawans were martyred in a clash between security forces and Naxals in Bijapur district of Chhattisgarh yesterday.  On Saturday, Naxals launched a surprise attack on security guards.  It is learned that 20 security personnel were killed and some others were injured in the clash which lasted for three hours.  A joint anti-Naxal operation was launched by security forces in Bijapur and Sukma districts at 1 pm yesterday.  However, in the meantime, the Naxals, who were hiding in the Tarrem-Jonaguda forest area, immediately started firing on the security forces.
