According to the constitution, he was to step down in 2024, but now with the amendment, he can remain in office for the next 15 years. Putin called for ballots from citizens last year. At least 20 Jawans killed following deadly encounter between Security forces and Naxals in Chhattisgarh

  Sources said that 20 jawans were martyred in a clash between security forces and Naxals in Bijapur district of Chhattisgarh yesterday.  On Saturday, Naxals launched a surprise attack on security guards.  It is learned that 20 security personnel were killed and some others were injured in the clash which lasted for three hours.  A joint anti-Naxal operation was launched by security forces in Bijapur and Sukma districts at 1 pm yesterday.  However, in the meantime, the Naxals, who were hiding in the Tarrem-Jonaguda forest area, immediately started firing on the security forces. Indian security forces held a flag meeting and called Pakistan Rangers and handed over the innocent boy to Pakistan.
